Joshtheotter.org – Website Privacy Policy

Introduction

Welcome to the joshtheotter.org website (the “Site”) owned and operated by the Joshua Collingsworth Memorial Foundation, a Nebraska nonprofit corporation (“JCMF,” “we,” or “us”).  We are committed to protecting your privacy.  We have established this privacy policy and are providing it to you so that you can understand how we collect and use your information and the efforts we use to protect it.  Please note that this policy is for this Site and does not apply to third party websites, apps, widgets, or plug-ins linked from our Site.

Personal Information Collected

We recognize the need for consumers to control the use and management of Personal Information.  By “Personal Information” we mean information that can be used to identify or contact an individual.  This may include, but is not limited to, a first and last name, a physical address, an email address, a credit card number, a social security or tax identification number, date of birth, or a phone number.  If you are visiting our Site to browse or find information about JCMF or its products or services, you do not need to provide any Personal Information.  If you decide to submit an inquiry, contact one of our representatives, provide information through our contact form on the Site, or make a purchase, we may collect Personal Information so that we can provide you with the services you requested.

Automatic Information Collected

Like most website operators, we may collect the type of non-personally-identifying information that web browsers and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, language preference, referring site or source, operating information, mobile carrier, device and application IDs, and the date and time of each visitor request.  Our purpose in collecting this and other similar non-personally identifying information is to better understand how our visitors use the Site.  Our Site may make use of various technologies to collect information about types and versions of internet browsers used when accessing our Site.  This information, and information about internet IP, as well as date and time web pages are visited is stored in various security and traffic logs.  Our service providers may review these logs, using statistical analysis, to track and predict traffic patterns and estimate resource needs.  Unless we are addressing a technical problem or we suspect either fraudulent behavior or illegal conduct, we do not trace specific user sessions.

Personal Information Use

We use Personal Information provided by you so that we can provide the services you request.  We may transfer that information to our agents or employees of our service providers.  We may send you emails in response to your requests for services.  These notifications are considered part of our service.  We may also periodically send you email or other notifications concerning products or services and newsletters.  Any such notification will include instructions for opting out of future correspondence.

Sharing of Personal Information

We do not share or sell your Personal Information with unrelated parties, nor do we make your Personal Information publically available without your express permission.

Disclosures Required by Law

We may release Personal Information if we are legally required to do so.  If we are legally compelled to release information to a third party, we may or may not notify you of this release.  Notification will be at the discretion of JCMF and will be based on the nature and conditions surrounding the release of information.

Information Control

You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of Personal Information you provide to us.  You are responsible for updating your account information as needed to ensure it is accurate at all times.

Children

We do not intend to collect Personal Information from anyone we know to be under thirteen (13) years of age, except when provided by a child’s parent or guardian as necessary to provide products or services requested by the child’s parent or guardian.  If you are the parent or guardian of a child under thirteen years of age and believe that your child has disclosed personally identifiable information to us, please contact us so that we may remove the child’s information.

Supplemental Technologies

Our Site may use cookies, session identifiers, and browser detection technology to provide consumers with a more pleasant experience.  Many browsers provide consumers with the ability to disable some or all of these technologies.  Disabling them may prevent some of the Site’s features from working correctly.  Cookies we use do not place any personally identifiable information on your computer.

Confidentiality and Security

We take reasonable steps to ensure that your information is protected.  Internally, we limit access to your information to those employees or agents who we believe have reasonable need to use the information to provide products or services to you, or to perform their jobs.

History

This privacy policy was last updated September 1, 2017.  We periodically make changes to the policy to reflect additions or changes to our practices without notifying you.  You should review this privacy policy at each time you visit the Site.
